Once again, ProjectPro, Inc. hosted a whole day Technoforum seminar with the title of “How to Improve Construction Project Management Performance” last November 11, 2016 in Meeting Room 1 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The seminar comprised 4 tracks namely: Track 1 – Vertical and Horizontal Planning (8:30am-10:00am); Track 2 – Cost Estimating (10:30am-12:00pm); Track 3 – Planning and Estimating with BIM (1:30pm-3:00pm); Track 4 – Inspection and Quality Control (3:30pm-5:00pm). The purpose of dividing the seminar into four tracks is to segment the audience and to give them chance to attend a more specific topic relevant to their roles. There were 34 companies with 88 attendees who participated the seminar.
Track 1 – Vertical and Horizontal Planning
Mr. Timothy Anqui shared that it is now possible to see things ahead of time by working with a great dashboard and be more effective and efficient using Oracle Primavera P6. Mr. Mark Espiritu discussed that displaying of linear project schedules in a single print can now be achieved using TILOS.
Track 2 – Cost Estimating
Mr. Perigrino Collano reminded that cost estimators and quantity surveyors need to be fast and accurate with their estimates thus he introduced CostOS Estimating, a powerful estimating software.
Track 3 – Planning and Estimating with BIM
Mr. Fandino presented the values and benefits of implementing BIM on construction projects and as well as informing the audience on certain features of Asta Powerprject such as its flexibility to share information across other project management software.
Track 4 – Inspection and Quality Control
Mr. John Relleve introduced Novade Quality: An enterprise app which helps manage inspections, checklists and handover; and Novade Safety: An enterprise app to manage permits to work and non-conformity reports on construction sites.
Ms. Myra Muli of CIM Technologies also brought awareness on Alteon 3D, CIM Technologies’ outsourced services in to support clients’ engineering efforts.
